Middleweight Developer

We’re on the hunt for a full time web developer to join our fast growing team to work with multitude of exciting clients. If you are motivated by working on a variety of exciting projects, creating exceptional interactive experiences and being an integral part of a fantastic and vibrant team then get in touch! You’ll be joining a welcoming team of design and development experts, working out of our creative studio in Bury St Edmunds, in the heart of Suffolk. From local start-ups to multi-national conglomerates you will be working on a broad spectrum of innovative projects and we’ll welcome your fresh perspective to our current process.

You will be the scrum leader for your own exciting projects, with the assistance of a central project manager. You will be involved in developing websites as well as planning frameworks and processes for bespoke applications. There will be the opportunity to work mainly on bespoke applications, Opencart and WordPress, and projects will be allocated amongst the team based on developer preference, suitability and expertise.

You don’t need any formal work experience or training, but you should have experience in the following areas:

  • Ability to write and understand PHP and MySQL
  • Experience with MVC frameworks preferably Laravel 4 or CodeIgniter
  • You care about code quality and still Get Things Done
  • You can communicate well with both technical and non-technical people
  • HTML5 and CSS (Twitter Bootstrap)
  • Javascript (jQuery)

Some experience in the following areas would be great, but not essential:

  • UNIX server administration
  • PHPUnit
  • Git version control
  • Ruby on Rails
  • Frontend frameworks such as Backbone.js and Angular.js

Copywriter

We’re looking to enrol a copywriter to our fast growing roster of young creatives. If you are motivated by working with a variety of exciting clients and being an integral part of their marketing strategies, then why not write us an engaging, well-structured email with sterling punctuation and grammar! You’ll be joining a vibrant team of design and marketing experts, in our large, open plan studio in Bury St Edmunds. From local start-ups to multi-national organisations, you will be working with a broad range of clients and we’ll welcome your new approach to the role.

Your role will involve working closely with clients to forge strong working relationships and develop an in-depth understanding of their business, as well as requirements and aspirations for their marketing plans. You will be responsible for producing content for a large range of media, including copy for websites and brochures, blogs and press releases. In addition, your role will include uploading content to client’s websites and liaising with clients to ensure the smooth running of a project, providing key details and information to the rest of the team.

We are a fast growing company and welcome your fresh perspective on the role. We are always open to new ideas and there will be plenty of scope for the role to develop with the successful candidate. There will be a natural element of project management involved in the role, with the potential of developing this aspect.

The successful candidate will be outgoing and confident and will be able to manage and exceed client expectations. You will have excellent English skills and have a passion for writing. Junior/Graduate Web Developer

We’re looking to recruit a full time junior web developer to assist our team with a multitude of exciting projects. If you want to work with a variety of clients, help build excellent interactive experiences, and join a fantastic team in a welcoming environment, we’d like to hear from to you! Working from our creative studio in Bury St Edmunds you will join a friendly, established team of design and development experts. From local start-ups to multi-national conglomerates you will be working on a broad spectrum of innovative projects bringing your fresh perspective to the current process.

Your role will predominantly revolve around assisting the current team with small development jobs, so candidates must be fluent in handwriting HTML/CSS and a basic understanding of PHP would be very beneficial. You will also be required to migrate websites and domains from our development servers to our live servers.

A large part of the role will be training clients on their website’s administration panel, this will normally be on the WordPress or OpenCart platform. Whilst technical understanding of such software would be beneficial, guidance from the development team can be provided to the successful candidate. You will need to be motivated, confident and personable, with the ability to communicate well to those with varying levels of technical understanding.
