Results

The redesigned website has already delivered encouraging improvements in user engagement, with a 16% increase in clicks within the first three months. The greatest uplift has been seen across home search pages, where clicks increased by 92% alongside a 17% rise in engagement, showing that residents are finding key services more easily and spending longer interacting with them.

Beyond the headline figures, the new website provides a much clearer experience for residents. Simpler navigation, stronger search functionality and improved visibility of support services have made it easier for users to access the information they need, while giving Havebury a more effective platform to communicate with and engage its communities.

Clear & Clean Website Design

Over the years, the overall user experience had become increasingly complex on the Havebury site. As content had grown over time, navigation and page layouts became crowded, making it more difficult for residents to access important information.

Our approach focused on simplifying the design to create a cleaner, more intuitive experience. Inspired by websites residents already found easy to use, we prioritised clarity over complexity, helping users complete tasks with minimal effort.

Improved Navigation & User Experience

We restructured the sitemap to create a simplified architecture, reducing the number of navigation links and making key sections easier to find. Search was also positioned as a core part of the user journey, allowing residents to quickly access pages, news articles, guides and FAQs from anywhere on the site.

Alongside this, the homepage was redesigned to become a central information hub, promoting important services, resident support, community initiatives and engagement opportunities that were previously difficult to discover.

Improved Navigation & User Experience

Content areas such as “The Place” were given greater prominence, making it easier for residents to participate in consultations, community polls, events and local news. Dedicated spaces for welfare and support content were also brought to the forefront, helping residents discover services that may previously have gone unnoticed.

By placing valuable content front and centre, the new experience encourages greater interaction while helping residents understand the full value of the services available to them.
